To the Duvals, my condolences to your Merri's passing.  May I observe, without knowing Mary at Whitman, I am profoundly impressed by Mary's smile.  Mary put the whole mile into her smile.  You must miss her so very much.

My condolences and congratulations, indirectly, to the Chandler-Furman family.  That's one down-to-earth Dad, Frank Furman was.  Who knew The Love that makes this gorgeous Earth go round.

To the McCutceons or Purcells, that's outdated contact info. for me.  Here I am writing comments without having updated my profile information.  Well, 'The strangers came and tried to teach us their ways, and they scorned us just for being what we are (Irish); but, they 'mine as well go chasing after moonbeams or light a penny-candle on a star'...'and if there's gonna be a life hearafter, and somehow I'm sure there's gonna be, I'll ask my God to let me make my heaven in that fair land across the Irish Sea'.  Phil, your guardian angel was Irish, too.

Francy, was that you who sweetly walked up to me the first day of school at Whitman (senior year, my only year there) and showed me a Radnor kindergarten picture? 'with both of us in it? My mom was a Mc Carthy, also.

Pete Katz was my Nevis Rd./Selkirk Rd. neighbor, and Radnor kindergarten fellow alumnus.  'Thanks to the brother who wrote his posted lifestory.  I stopped in and met his dad around the 2013 reunion time, I think.  My old treehouse buddy, Alan Zins had told me his dad and Pete's dad were best friends.  That's why I stopped in to the Katz's to visit, and to check out Peter.  Mr. Katz and I chatted away in their living room while Pete stayed on his feet.  At one point, I asked Pete to join his dad and me, to set a spell.  Pete said he was caring for his mom.  He was frequently going back there, while Mr. Katz and I were blabbing away.  To hear of Pete Katz getting out and about like he apparenly did is fascinating news to me.  Thanks.  Pete had a mind of his own and, unlike me, minded it.  They have the steepest driveway in Maryland, you know.  Talk about treehouses!

Hi, Amy; it was nice talking with you and Rick Salamanca in 2013. I thought it was cool when you said you worked in the Middle East for a while. I grew up in Southeast Asia, so always dig on others' foreign stories.

I don't remember kindergarten at Radnor with Tom, but we must have crossed paths in the neighborhood (I was schooling at St. Batholomew's thru first-grade).  Anyway, Tom had me to sleep over one night.  He lived in the big house, big old house, where, what is it, Selkirk comes in off of Wilson, passes Blacklock which shortcuts in to St. Bart's, and then drops down to Nevis where we were at the very bottom of that dangerous fast car dip.  Dad used to get out there and yell to the young bucks driving way too fast for children-at-play, "Slow Down!"  

So, sleeping over at Tom's, I got a real good homey feeling from his family, something we Tovars did not have.  It wasn't merely hearing a new way of saying what we called 'boo-boo', a bowel movement--the Bagwell's called it a 'bm'; that's technical Tom for 'ya--as he carefully delineated the fact for me in his quiet and keen way.  I fairly froze up in homes that were normal, as nice and loving families, not having any idea how to relax and enjoy such.  'How many hundreds of times I have thought, fondly and appreciatively, of that sleepover at Tom's house.  We really don't know what effect we have on other people.  Let it be good and nice; therein is power.
