ADAM K SCHUTZ  Retired Metropolitan Police Officer  
Passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 29, 2016.Son of the late Melvin and Rhoda Schutz of Bethesda, Maryland; brother of the late Dr. Benjamin Schutz of Woodbridge, Virginia.Born in Washington, DC and raised in Bethesda, Maryland, Adam graduated from Walt Whitman High School. He became a Master Gunsmith before joining the Washington, DC Police Department where he spent 25 years before retiring. He was known in the police department as the guy everyone wanted for their backup. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and love of the double entendre. His true love was Marital Arts. He became a Master Instructor in the martial art of Tenshin-Ryu Kenjutsu, Japanese Samurai swordsmanship and a Master Instructor in Yamate-Ryu Aikijutsu.He retired and moved to Albuquerque with his wife Jena C. Schutz, whom he leaves behind along with his brother Dr. Mark Schutz of Bethesda, Maryland and many other relatives and friends.A Memorial gathering will be held at the home of Dr. Mark Schutz at a later date.
